A UV light teeth whitening treatment using concentrated hydrogen peroxide is a professional dental procedure designed to significantly brighten and whiten your smile. Here's how it works:

Preparation: apply a protective barrier to your gums and lips to prevent the whitening agent from coming into contact with them.

Application of Whitening Agent: A highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide gel will be carefully applied to your teeth. The gel typically contains between 25-40% hydrogen peroxide, which is much stronger than the whitening products available over-the-counter.

Activation with UV Light: Once the gel is applied, a specialized UV light on your teeth. The light activates the hydrogen peroxide in the gel, allowing it to penetrate deep into the tooth enamel and break down stains and discoloration. After the session, the gel will be rinsed off and the protective barrier removed from your gums and lips.

Immediate Results: You will be able to see the whitening results immediately. UV light whitening treatments can whiten teeth by up to 10 shades in a single session, making it one of the fastest ways to achieve a dramatically whiter smile.

Sensitivity: Due to the high concentration of hydrogen peroxide, some patients may experience tooth sensitivity during or after the treatment. This is usually temporary and can be managed with sensitivity toothpaste.

Maintenance: To maintain your results, you'll need to avoid stain-causing foods and drinks for at least 24 hours. You will also be given an at-home whitening kit to touch up your results as needed.
